We’ve been there. We can help.

Our primary purpose is to provide peer support for people living with mental health disorders. Many studies agree that when people attend support groups, in addition to seeing therapists or other professionals, their recoveries are stronger and longer lasting.

Why Peer Support?

The most important benefit of regularly attending peer support group meetings is that you learn you are not alone.

You’ll neet and interact with others with similar situations, and you’ll learn new coping skills from others that support living your best life. It’s also a chance to socialize and a safe space to interact with others…and it’s a great way to just get out of the house. Being with other who have similar experiences can provide a refreshed sense of well-being and self-esteem.

What Your Participation & Support Means to Others

DBSAOK is the only statewide organization in Oklahoma that offers free, confidential, and non-judgmental peer support groups for people who experience depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. Our groups are led by trained peer facilitators who have lived experience with mental illness and recovery, and they use that experience to help others more easily navigate a path to wellness.
